Seminar on Religious Imagery in Art, organized by HMAP was held at the Dennis and Phillip Ratner Museum in Bethesda, MD in 2005.
HMAP sponsors a variety of events and activities throughout the year. Expanded
descriptions of some can be accessed using the menu at left; some events
such as the Song Circle/Jam Sessions and the Saturday Drawing Group occur
on a regular basis and are not listed or announced on the HMAP Calendar.
Art exhibitions, literary events such as poetry readings, musical events, and classes are held on the first (and sometimes second) floor of the mill or in the Miller's House. Exhibitions of paintings, prints, sculpture and other visual arts are scheduled approximately monthly from April through October and are open to the public on weekends.
Invitations to HMAP activities are posted on this web site, advertised on flyers posted in the area, and distributed by e-mail, and on special occasions, by standard mail to members and friends. All HMAP activities, and events are open to the public. Contact the HMAP office to receive emails about HMAP events or better yet: Become a Member.
HMAP also hosts meetings, classes, talks, tours from area schools and other non-art specific events at the mill when they are in keeping with the organizations mission to promote the cultural heritage of the region. Call the HMAP office to schedule visits.
